Welcome to Jeni Elizabeth Jewelry

Mixing modern with flourishes of a nostalgic style, Jennifer “Jeni” Fairman is a Maryland-based artist who evokes the beauty of nature in her graceful and unique designs. Her studio, Jeni Elizabeth Jewelry, specializes in one-of-a-kind adornments such as brooches, rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, earrings, metal gift boxes and judaica. Drawing on her professional background as a trained medical illustrator, Jeni is able to capture the intricacies of elements she finds in the natural world. Botanicals, insects, recycled materials, and other curiosa are transformed into hand-crafted pieces. Jeni’s work interweaves a variety of materials including sterling and fine silver, bronze and other precious metals, vitreous enamel, gemstones, and found objects. The distinguished cicada-inspired designs are her studio’s signature.

“I am often inspired by a geometric pattern or color palette I come across in nature. Insect wing venation, the colors of a misty fall landscape, or petal shape each find a place in my search for inspiration. I love to experiment and I hope the wearer of my pieces is inspired to seek a new perspective of nature.”

I’ve always put my own dried plants through the rolling mill when embossing texture onto my metal surface, but I’ve never tried an embossing plate before…. Until now! Ok I am hooked. I have a feeling my drawer is going to accumulate a few plates in my future. But me thinks that I will likely make my own by etching brass . That’s the illustrator in me talking. I’ve had this stock in my drawer for a while and tried my first bangle with it. Being nugold, I’m definitely going to add some other elements to it! Stay tuned!! ...

I create unique custom pieces

Many ask, ‘Do you take custom orders?’ The answer is a resounding ‘Yes!’ I adore crafting unique pieces for clients and their loved ones. Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Mother’s and Father’s Days, or any special occasion—you name it.

I also craft pieces to honor loved ones, including pets. My process blends mementos, old photos, and found objects to create cherished treasures. It all begins with a photo or a story. Curious to know more? Inquire about starting the process.
