Art-Deco Cicada Pendant – Aluminum

Welcome to the Summer of Love, 2021! In celebration of the annual dog day and Brood X periodical cicadas that will be emerging in Maryland during the 2021 summer, Jeni has created a new collection of cicada adornments. This is a special edition Art-Deco Lalique-inspired cicada. Every cicada is unique - fabricated by hand as a form of metal origami. The body is hand-formed from 100% aluminum on a stainless steel 16 inch chain. Surprisingly light-weight. Cicada is 1.8 inches tall and .75 inches wide. The finish is sealed with clear jeweler's wax finish for water-proofing and to protect the surface for long wear. Can be wiped clean or polished with simple jeweler's polishing cloth.
