Art-Deco Large Cicada Pendant

Welcome to the Summer of Love, 2021! In celebration of the annual dog day and Brood X periodical cicadas that will be emerging in Maryland during the 2021 summer, Jeni has created a new collection of cicada adornments. This is a special edition Art-Deco Lalique-inspired cicada. Every cicada is unique - fabricated by hand as a form of metal origami. The body is hand-formed from 100% brass or stainless steel. Neck-wire is hand textured and hammered to have a faceted finish. Loop and hook closure that is strong and very secure. The loop is soldered shut so that it does not catch on clothes or hair. Surprisingly light-weight. Cicada is 2.5" tall. The finish is sealed with clear jeweler's wax finish for water-proofing and to protect the surface for long wear. Can be wiped clean or polished with simple jeweler's polishing cloth. Available in gold or silver tone.
