Nocturnal Spring Moth – Picasso

Welcome to the Nocturnal Spring Collection, 2024! In anticipation to a summer full of color, Jeni has created one-of-a-kind, hand-fabricated and meticulously painted moth pins ad pendants. Become the owner of this unique friend - Picasso! This piece represents how art can imitate nature, and nature can imitate art! According to Wikipedia, "Baorisa hieroglyphica, also known as the Picasso moth, is a species of moth in the family Erebidae. It was described by the British entomologist Frederic Moore in 1882. The genus Baorisa was long thought to be monotypic, but three other species have been described. It is found in parts of northeastern India and Southeast Asia." Strange but true! Picasso is a small pendant waiting for any moth or art enthusiast! Hand-painted and fabricated in metal using Jeni's signature illustrated design. Solid brass is soldered in layers and hand-riveted after multiple coats of highly durable powder-coat is applied by hand. Eyes are brass.  The finish is durable for long wear.
