This is the newest style earring in my collection. With school starting, and old school supplies collecting dust, I decided to experiment and cut blossoms out of my son's dog-eared, scribbled-on class folders. The plastic is thick and durable, and has a nice matte stippled texture. The center blossoms are cut from 20 gauge aluminum scrap with a matte finish. The hoops are hammered nickel silver and the ear wires are nickel-free. At about 1.5" in diameter, the size of these hoops makes their weight look misleading. These are super-lightweight at less than â…› an ounce total for the pair!
